about

“Not an Interlude” moves in a direction to speak out against injustices, particularly, the adverse power dynamics created by toxic masculinity.

While Nora is writing about her own personal experiences, she aims to denounce sexism and machismo behaviours that affect everyone -- whether it’s within relationships, or on a societal level.

Her brand of alternative R&B is at its best on Not an Interlude. The powerful synth-driven chorus has an intensity that captures the message of the song, with a swagger and bounce that fans of trap and future bass will love.

At the same time, she also plays with the coy, soft and sensual side of neo-soul which adds a tasteful contrast to the track.
